Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots. Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. Doing a send and receive manually or waiting on the scheduled send and receive on the client does not update new mail items.

I checked on web mail here it is.one account is configured on two computers, one is configured with POP & second is IMAP. Missing mail is showing on POP account Pc but not showing on IMAP pc. If I have the inbox selected and I get new mail, I will not see the new mail appear in the inbox automatically during a scheduled send and receive. I use both webmail and Outlook desktop client to access my Gmail. I am normally looking at the All Mail folder on Outlook. Whenever I drag messages from the All Mail folder to the Trash folder on Outlook, these messages remain visible in the All Mail folder FixTechGuide support for Office 365 when accessed via webmail.

We are a relatively small company so instead of purchasing exchange or using hosted exchange, we decided to use GoDaddy for standard pop/imap email accounts to save on the cost. If these methods do not work, then contact the support team of your email provider. So, here are the solutions you solve the problem of resolve Outlook not sending emails fast the IMAP folder not syncing.

Chosen solution

I don't see - 'When getting new messages... I checked all 5 of the tabs in this window that expressions is not there. This seems bizarre the email would not populate. The uploading of the old messages to the new account is what caused the problem. I will try the safe starts and experiment with the buttons ans see if it improves.

My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update

While these solutions work, there is are chance that it will happen again. To avoid that, you have to take some Exchange connectivity diagnostic precautionary steps. Pit Stop - Most of our email accounts are for small retail location. We just use POP in those locations because they do not access their mail from any other device or location.

mailbox not updating on IMAP

It will synchronize deleted items if I delete an item from my phone, but it just wont receive new ones. IMAP accounts should update automatically on send/receive. Otherwise why even have the ability to auto-sync? If I need to click on each folder to force the sync/download from server then auto sync serves no purpose. When you are accessing Gmail via the web application everything is hosted on Google's cloud servers.

  • We only have a handful of people who use the their email across multiple devices at the corporate office.
  • These methods help you in the synchronization process.
  • Full cleanup of ALL accounts is not a solution(and re-add even helps not).
  • Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply.
  • I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted...

I deleted the Apple Mail app from the phone, reinstalled from the App Store. It's just a little bit technical, but we have an IMAP proxy that chooses from some different backend IMAP servers. If the user account ends up on an old IMAP server implementation (in that case f.i. a Cyrus imapd 2.4.17), IMAP Client of iOS 18 Mail app doesn't work.

IMAP folder sync issue in the new Outlook (moved emails not syncing to webmail)

That’s why, here I am to help you in this situation by providing you with solutions. But, before that, let’s understand the cause of the issue. If I am sitting on my inbox and do a send/receive, no new mail will populate. The send and receive does not error, it looks to complete successfully. Doing a send and receive does not update the mail, and I have played with all kinds of settings in the send and receive groups but nothing seems to work.

We only have a handful of people who use the their email across multiple devices at the corporate office. Just a question - why not look at office 365? Mailbox only support is like $6 a month or less, and it is proper exchange, enabling better syncing etc. You should look at your Outlook desktop client settings to review the default synchronization schedule and tweak anything you can to get it to poll Google's IMAP servers more frequently. I access the IMAP servers from 3 different machines, and they all see the changes from each other. The problem is that the some changes are not reflected in the Gmail web app.
